Adrian Gonzalez slammed 2 homeruns and had 6 RBI at Dodger Stadium where the
North Dallas Fire Ants beat the Streator Reds by the score of 11 to
4.
Gonzalez had a great evening at the plate. He laced a base-knock which scored
a run in the 3rd inning, smacked a three-run homer in the 5th inning, blasted
a two-run home run in the 6th inning and banged out a single in the 9th
inning. North Dallas had a total of 16 hits for the game.
The winning pitcher was Mark Buehrle(6-1) who allowed 4 runs in 7 and 1/3
innings. Jeremy Sowers(1-6) was charged with the loss. He was knocked
around, surrendering 6 runs in 4 and 1/3 innings.
'Some days it just all comes together, and this was one of them' Gonzalez
said. 'I've been seeing the ball pretty well lately.'
